Paella with mussels and octopus
Flavor of the sea: paella prepared with mussels and octopus tentacles and flavored with chilli, garlic, onion and bacon. try also this sea buckthorn and orange juice recipe too.
Ingredients
Main course For 4 people
1 chilli
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
4 tablespoons of olive oil
70 g of bacon cubes for roasting
300 g of rice for paella or risotto
1 dl of white wine
5 dl of broth or vegetable stock
300 g of mussels
200 g of cooked octopus tentacles
1 bunch of herbs, example of parsley
1 lemon

How to proceed
Preparation: approx. 40 minutes
Remove the seeds from the chilli and cut into strips. Chop the onion and garlic. Heat half the oil in a large pan and brown the bacon, chilli, onion and garlic. Add the rice and toast it briefly. Deglaze with the wine. Pour in half of the stock and simmer with the lid on for approx. 10 minutes.
Rinse the mussels under cold water and remove the byssus. Eliminate broken or open mussels. Place the octopus and mussels on the rice. Pour in the rest of the broth and let it simmer with the lid on for another 10 minutes, until the mussels open. Eliminate the mussels still closed.
